Webinar Highlights: MbeleNaBiz information Webinar

On 31st July 2019, the MbeleNaBiz team held the first online webinar aimed at creating awareness about the MbeleNaBiz competition and encouraging applicants to apply for grant funding of Kshs. 900,000 or Kshs.3,600,000.

The webinar, which took place from 2:35pm to 3:45 pm, was attended by 47 participants including young entrepreneurs across counties such as Nairobi, Mombasa, Narok, Garissa and Taita Taveta.

The webinar kicked off with Jimmy Odhiambo, the MbeleNaBiz Business Plan competition Coordinator, giving an introduction about the MbeleNaBiz business plan competition. The Team Leader, Wambui Chege, proceeded to take the participants through the presentation covering topics such as the eligibility criteria, application process and frequently asked questions. The team leader shared key insights about the competition with applicants;

• MbeleNaBiz targets high quality applications for businesses that have high potential in terms of growth and job creation. This includes both start-ups and existing businesses.
• Women entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply for the competition and not shy away from this exciting opportunity.
• The competition offers a great opportunity for Kenyan youth who have promising business ideas and they should spread the word to other youth members to seize the opportunity.

"This is very encouraging to the Kenyan youths who have very life changing ideas but lack the way forward. Kudos to the government and the management” comment from one of the webinar participants"

The participants actively engaged with the Team Leader by asking questions and sharing comments at the end of the presentation

The MbeleNaBiz team extends its appreciation to all the participants who took part in the engaging session. More webinars will be announced in the near future via this website or email address (info@mbelenabiz.go.ke).
